Leo Carrillo Barn

Project Description: This unique project required MSC to convert a board and batten wood barn into a climate controlled building suitable to perform as a movie theater. The work included the structural stabilization, weather proofing and sound proofing of the barn. All the exterior and interior doors were fabricated in our own shop.

History: MSC completed the Barn restoration in 2011. This project was a continuation of work from 2009 when MSC stabilized and shored this wood structure. The Leo Carrillo Ranch Park is a very popular destination in the City of Carlsbad. Leo Carrillo, the iconic film star from the early days of Hollywood, developed this property into a working ranch and place for entertaining his guests.
