Historic Restoration

MSC has been executing historic restoration projects throughout California since 1986. Our pride in craftsmanship and interest in the history of our country has driven our desire to work on treasures from the past.

MSC is an invited bidder, as many prominent Architects and Engineers recognize our expertise and commitment to excellence. The majority of our projects are executed under a negotiated contract or on a “cost plus” or “time and materials” agreement. MSC is entrusted to preserve and repair the structure but also to document and maintain financial integrity.

MSC self performs the vast majority of the craft trades: woodworking, door and window repair, plaster detailing, masonry restoration, foundation underpinning, micropiles, and NHL plastering are services performed for many of these projects. We have completed numerous projects on the State and National Register for Historic Places. Our work complies with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Historic Preservation. MSC has received multiple awards from both the California Preservation Foundation and the Los Angeles Conservancy.
